Alongside the World Congress on Public Health, Global Action on Men’s Health (GAMH) will be hosting two special roundtable meetings bringing together policymakers, researchers, practitioners and advocates to discuss two significant global health priorities.
Beyond Girls: Advancing HPV Vaccination for Boys in Africa

This roundtable will explore the growing evidence for routine HPV vaccination for boys, examining how gender-neutral vaccination can help prevent HPV-related cancers and other diseases while accelerating progress towards equitable cancer prevention across Africa.
Speakers include Peter Baker (Chief Executive, Global Action on Men’s Health), Damian Naidoo (CAPRISA, South Africa) and Amon Lukhele (Chief Executive, Outreach Scout Foundation, Malawi), with additional speakers to be announced.

Men’s Health in South Africa: Where Next?

This discussion will focus on the future of men’s health in South Africa, examining current challenges, barriers to progress and opportunities for action. Participants will also consider the future of South Africa’s national men’s health strategy following its lapse in 2025.
Speakers include Prof Derek M. Griffith, Ph.D. (Chair, Global Action on Men’s Health, and Director of the Program for Research on Men’s Health, University of Pennsylvania), Dr Albert Manyuchi (Senior Researcher, Mandela Institute – Wits School of Law, University of the Witwatersrand) and Dr Andrew Medina-Marino (Co-leader, Division of Men’s Health, Desmond Tutu Health Foundation), with additional speakers to be announced.
