New Perspectives on Men, Cancer & HPV

Next steps in the campaign for gender-neutral HPV vaccination from the World Health Assembly 2025 in Geneva.

New Perspectives on Men, Cancer & HPV is the report of the side-event roundtable convened by Global Action on Men’s Health and NOMAN is an Island: Race to End HPV at the World Health Assembly in Geneva in 2025.

The roundtable was part of the partners’ ongoing work to expand gender-neutral (universal) HPV vaccination programmes, with particular attention to low- and middle-income countries, where HPV vaccination — where it exists at all — is overwhelmingly delivered to girls only.

The report sets out the next steps in that programme of work, including:

  • advocacy aimed at shifting the current global policy context around gender-neutral vaccination;
  • an academic Position Statement on GNV, developed with the support of the International Academic Expert Advisory Group on gender-neutral vaccination.
